Venice Florida Spring Landscape care is very important to get started on the right foot. Since we had a severe Winter with many back to back freezes, make sure to cut all dead from plants, you do this by taking a sharp pair of loppers or hand shears and cut back until you get good green wood. After cutting back all shrubs and bushes, fertilize with a good fertilizer such as 8-10-10 and one handfull per shrub should do the trick, cover with mulch.
Caring for frost damaged sod at spring time, detahtching thick turf will do a lot of good. Fertilize apropriatly, remember never ove fertilize, it just runs into the gutter and ends up in our water ways. Fertilizing lightly several times in Venice through the growing season, this will alow the turf to use the fertilizer.
