Here in South West Florida Winter is upon us.  Hopefully you have started preparing your landscape for the cold days and nights ahead.  Making sure you have given your landscape proper fertilization and have the appopriate watering habits.  What I mean by this is that you have fed your turf and landscape atleast three times this past year, that you have kept up with pest control, all these maintenance practices will keep you better off than others when a freeze hits Venice,  Make sure to wra your palms with blankets, tie with small rope so that wind will not get to heart of palm.  Adonidia palms are most exposed to cold weather.  Orchids annuals perinials and other delicate plants will need extra care for cold nights, such as sheets and blankets.
